We would like to inform you that this year, 2024-2025, our school, with the 2nd grade and responsible teacher Ms. Petmeza Domna, is taking part in a European school cooperation program eTwinning entitled “Our daily bread as a part of cultural heritage, well-being and sustainability”.
eTwinning (https://www.etwinning.gr/) is part of the European Union’s Lifelong Learning Programme, through which schools from various European countries, using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) tools, collaborate remotely to reap pedagogical, social and cultural benefits. eTwinning is perhaps the largest network of teachers and students in the history of education.
The objectives of the program concern:
- improving intercultural exchanges for building European citizenship,
- encouraging the building of a cultural identity with a European perspective,
- developing creativity through laboratory teaching,
- improving learning through the use of ICT,
- improving reading and comprehension skills,
- getting acquainted with the 2030 agenda,
- understanding the importance of bread in the context of a proper and healthy diet,
- broadening artistic knowledge,
- understanding the difference between artisanal and industrial foods,
- understanding the characteristics of sustainable production.
The duration of the program will be from November 2024 to June 2025 and schools from Greece, Italy, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey will participate.
