Across Europe, 700 million Europeans are represented by the 46 member states of the Council of Europe and are encouraged to learn more and more foreign languages as a tool for achieving greater intercultural understanding. On the initiative of the Council of Europe, the European Day of Languages has been celebrated every year on 26 September since 2001.
Thus, our school organized an activity with the students of classes E1, E2 and F in the context of the English and German lessons under the guidance of the English teacher Mrs. Chrysa Kofou in collaboration with the German teacher Mrs. Angeliki Hasioti. The children painted flags of various European countries, learned the word “hello” in different languages and made a huge banner with them that decorates the interior of our school.
A similar action was organized by the students of classes C, D1 and D2 within the framework of the English lesson under the guidance of the English teacher, Mrs. Aikaterini Marmaridou.
